Derating

Term for any kind of reduction influences on the Rated Breaking Current of the fuse. The Derating value is multiplied with the Rated Current or to divided by the loading current. In some cases some influencing factors have to be considered, typically, high surrounding temperature, Terminal cross section, installation volume, pulse load, shock load and over-waves.
