Following a third-place finish in 2021, SIBA has been able to do even better and win the silver medal in this year’s evaluation by the EcoVadis sustainability portal.
Although SIBA joined the EcoVadis certification scheme only a year ago, it won the bronze medal right out of the starting gate in 2021, and in this year’s round was able to improve on its performance by moving to second place on the winners’ podium.
According to its own data, EcoVadis provides the world’s most trusted sustainability ratings. In 2021, more than 90,000 companies from 160 countries worldwide opted for a business sustainability rating by EcoVadis, including global heavyweights such as Alcatel and Henkel.
A successful rating always depends on how well all the participating companies do in terms of their sustainability performance in a given year. In order to win a silver award, for example, it is necessary to be among the top 25 percent of companies being evaluated.
